DYK that Avery hasn’t had a bath in about 5 months? At the hospital, she was only able to have sponge baths.
We tried a real bath when she first came home, but she was NOT a fan.
So, today we blew up a kiddie pool and Big Sis jumped right in.
Avery was still unsure. We started with just her feet and then decided to sit her in a Bumbo to keep her higher above the water line.
It took her a minute to adjust, but she LOVED it!
All that to say, today we’re celebrating Avi’s freedom.
Her freedom from an IV line.
Freedom from a hospital room.
Freedom from blood pressure cuffs.
freedom (noun) the power or scope to act as one pleases
(It’s also her first holiday home post-diagnosis).
